Bottled Rainbows Quilt Along *Indigo & Tangerine Blocks*

I can not believe blocks 14 & 15 are finally completed.  One more to go until all 16 of my Bottled Rainbows Quilt blocks are finished.

More adorable Dick & Jane fabric from my friend, Amy.  (Amy, if you are reading this...I would link to your blog here if you would ever start it!!!  A Ha!  Amy just commented so now I have her blog...just no yummy data there yet!)

This happy tangerine block just makes me smile.  The moss block is all we have left and then it is time to put this bad baby together.  Yippee!

Have a great 4th of July!

Sexy hexie.

I finally finished up the May block for my bee; A Notion or Two.  Jenny sent fabric from Darlene Zimmerman's Dear Betty line and the only instruction she gave us was to make a finished block measuring 14" x 14" highlighting hexagons as the theme.

Having never done any hexagon work before, I just printed off the first template I found on the internet.  I think the template was for a 1" hexagon.  342 hexagons later, I've finally finished it up.  I really hope Jenny likes it because this may be the last time I can touch a hexagon for a long long LONG time!!!

Bottled Rainbow Quilt Along *Cerise & Plum Blocks*

Last night I was able to complete two more blocks for my Bottled Rainbow Quilt Along....Cerise & Plum.  These were extremely hard for me because I do not have much purple fabric at all.

Katie picked up the cutest owl fabric at JoJo's. (Joann Fabrics)  Here is the brother owl...

...and the sis.

I tried to get a little funky with the Plum block but I'm not feelin' it.  That pizza pie in the middle is not as cute as I thought it was going to be.  Oh well, I am NOT redoing it, that is for sure.

One more little cute owl to spotlight.

I think we only have 3 more blocks to make.  I am so sad because I've really enjoyed teaching my friends Katie and Amy how to quilt and now I am madly seeking another quilt along to join up with so I can keep them motivated.  Any suggestions???

Bottled Rainbow Quilt Along *Turquoise Block*

Last night I finished up my 11th block for the Bottled Rainbow Quilt Along.  The turquoise block was not a hard one to fill.  This quilt has definitely made me realize that I favor particular colors.  This one happens to be one of them.  Check out this adorable Dick & Jane piece that my friend Amy shared with me.

My boys have a little John Deere tractor that they love to drive and this fabric piece just melts my heart.  I could totally see my two older boys pulling little Jackie when the battery of the tractor dies (which is does frequently)!

We're gettin' there.  5 to go.  I'm now starting to think about what to do with the back.  All I know is that I am going to somehow use all the extra solid scraps that I've saved from the front.  This really has been a fun Quilt Along.  It's not too late to join us!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Bottled Rainbow Quilt Along *Petal Block*

Today is W.i.P. Wednesday over at Freshly Pieced, actually over at Don't Call me Betsy.  Here is what I've been up to this week:

I just finished up another block for the Bottled Rainbow Quilt Along.  I must say that this one was one of my favorites.  I LOVE pink and had no trouble at all filling this block.

I've also been working on my Bee Block that is due ... uh, yesterday.  I can not wait to show you guys this.  You are going to think I have lost my mind when you see the entire block.  Way way too many tiny hexi's for my patience!!!

That's about it for this week.
